Snowing terribly!!!

OMG!!! I'm sure you've heard on the radio, TV and even newspaper that its snowing badly in UK...imagine 5 inches thick of snow!!! And the weather can go all the way to -6 degrees!!! I need JACOB BLACK to give me heat really badly!!! =p I tried driving out with my lambo, but it got STUCKED,yeah...you read it right,it got stuck in the snow-cant move at all!!! I gotta call security to carry it back to my room!!!

This experience gave me a few lessons :

1) Snow is only nice to see from the TV screen/ postcards/ indoors looking out!

2) We(those who remained in UK during winter!) are like experiencing 513-minus the gunshots and fear (but we do fear that our food supplies will run out!) coz we're basically stranded in Hatfield although its the long awaited semester break!!! =(

3)Building snowman's are very painful!!! So is being hit by snow in a snow fight!!! No fun!!!

Wanna make myself a warm cuppa drink.. till next time!

Second month in foreign land

Well.yesterday (22Nov) WAS month 2 in UK...similar to the 1st month, except that the weather is becoming colder day by day and can you believe it the sun sets daily by 4.15pm,it will be as dark as 8pm in Malaysia!!! According to weather forecast, the sun rises daily by 7am but being the sleepy head me I just cant seem to get out of bed in time to 'witness' the rising of the egg yolk called sun! =p

Meals? Every monday after my loong hours of lectures and seminar(mon is the day I have the busiest schedule!) I will 'drive' to Oriental Delights to pack an oriental meal..last week I had Singapore Fried Rice while this week I'm having Chicken Chow Mien!!! Both taste as good! It isnt that pricey afterall-IF you dont convert, that is! Or it'll be more than RM10 per meal!

I'm embarrassed to say that I've NOT completed my Emp coursework but at least I've started somewhere! =p

Chao for now!

Moodless morning.

Its been quite sometime since I log in here. Well,I still keep track of time ok! There are a few things that I would like to say or write here and I do hope you would leave a comment at the very end to let me know what do you think about it:

1) Have you tried getting too 'attached' to your bed that you refused to get up in the morning??? This is happening to me ever so frequently even if I sleep at 10.30pm!!!

2) After getting up late,I feel so lifeless and bored that I dont feel like doing anything. Besides that, I get frustrated really quickly!!!!

3) I DID make a plan to read up Emp Law and complete my Seminar questions BUT....yeah there always exist a BUT!!!! =p

4) And and to my friend out there (you know who you're if you're reading this!) I still remember you ok!!! Nothing is changed between our friendship =) Rest assured although I maybe 13 hours away but I'll still 'find' you! Ehehe!

Cheers,

First month in UK!!!

The title says it all...I arrived in UK on September 22 and now today its October 22,so technically it has been 1 month I'm in this foreign land-although my classes only begun on October 4!!!

It had been one exiting month, with tears, laughter, frustration and even enjoyment. What a learning process ya! Well, the 'tear-ing' saga had ended and so has the frustration and caught-in-the-crossroad moment (hopefully these moments would not relapsed again!)
So,do NOT worry I'm ok here...I can be a tough cookie at times k!! =p

Guess what? My Employment Law coursework is out..it is 40% of the total mark!!! Cool eih!!! I better get working on it soon!!! *there goes my partying days*

Thats all for now!!! Chao!

My actual 21st birthday!! (Oct 14)

Whee...I'm 21!!! Ok to cut the story short, I was very much upset about my dissertation (family law) on my birthday eve(13 Oct). For those who know me well, should know that I take law is to do family law right? But after meeting with one 'supervisor' (a person assigned to advise me on my work for dissertation) scared me off by telling me in a too blunt manner that I would not be able to understand family law as I do not have it as a foundation(I did not do family law before!) Well,at first I was a lil taken aback but come to think of it again she has her point! So after much pondering (thanks to my lovely friends Nurul Shakila, hereby known as tequila and Nadeeka ,known as marguerita or margie and yi ting(webcam) for consoling and helping to sort me out!) So,I came up with the solution to drop dissertation altogether and take medical law instead!

On the 14th itself, I saw many of my friends wished me on fb!!! Even those whom I've lost contact with or we hardly speak in person came and wish me! I'm so blessed to have all of you! Although I may be far away but after reading all your post,I feel you guys are close at heart! Tequila,Jeanie,Lea and I took the bus and we reached St.Albans Law School at around 12.30pm ish..I straight away saw the admin staff and asked for a switch of subjects!!! and tada...its updated in my studynet already!!! (studynet is the Uni webpage) =D

So,we went for classes and strolling around St.Albans before our seminar(tutorials) begins...>.< Tequila felt ill (sore throat)*oooh..please get well soon- I cant bear the sight that you're in pain!* well, literally! Wanna buy her porridge pun dunno where! The McD here does not sell it! =p

After my online company law seminar, I went Galleria for dinner in conjunction with my 21st birthday with Jason,Quin,Saathish,Nick,Balmeesh,Callistus,Jass,Carmen,Kuek and Jeanie at Ilaichi, the multi cuisine, world buffet restaurant. After dinner, all of us headed back to my flat and in the kitchen where surprise awaits-no!! its not male strippers, but 21 awesome looking cute cupcakes!!! This was organised by Tequila,Margarita and Krya!!! Thanks babehs!! Linda joined in not long after!! <3

It was indeed a memorable birthday for me! I'm never lonely or alone as I know that I can always count on you peeps!!! I'm blessed!!

Thats all for now, till next time!

Updates in UK

Its Oct already..thats fast! Its also been 9 days since I left Malaysia and 6 days since I shifted into Hadham (my blocks name!) I'm adapting well...the peeps here are friendly and the place is user-friendly. There are altogether 8 residents in my flat-only 3 asians the rest are locals! Everything is within reach here...the shopping mall, supermarket, laundry, restaurants. The furthest would be my law school in St.Albans (gotta take a bus ride there!) Dad was really traumatized by my 'driving skills' (oh! did I mention I got an electronic wheelchair now, Lamborghini) and the hydrolics of busses! Chill dad,I'll be fine! Seriously! =D

Shakila and Nadeeka are awesome cooks! They make splendid dinners! So far,we had chicken curry for dinner! =p I know me eating curry!!

Dad went back to Malaysia last two days ago(29 Sept) while Mum is arriving soon(2 Oct) Wheee!!!! *My laundry is waiting* Nyeh nyeh nyeh!!!!

Just got to know that my classes will begin on mon(4 Oct) First class is Company Law lecture!!! Kindda excited thinking about it!!! =D

Well, thats all for now. Will update more when my classes start!

First week in UK

Dear All,

Sorry for not blogging in the longest time...was busy adapting to the new environment here...>.< My flight (with dad!) was at 10am on 22 Sept..We took MAS airline- BUSINESS CLASS!!! Entered the business lounge..and the food there was like massive all types...from nasi lemak to cereals,sandwiches...etc..you name it they got it AND its all f.o.c!! I know I sound jakun but its FREE!!! LOL..

After 30 min of hanging around there...we went on board the plane..Whee!!! (see facebook for more pics!) The 13 hours to get to Heathrow airport flew by rather quickly...in total I watched 5 movies which are Letters to Juliette(Eng), Small Soldiers Big Soldiers (HK),Beauty on Duty(HK), Cinta Silleto(Malay) and Ever After (Eng). Cant really sleep on board as there is a young girl who was wailing all the way!! As such, played games like bejewelled and hangman really kept me busy!

We arrived in Heathrow Airport around 4.15pm(UK time) on the same day, which is well 8 hours earlier than Malaysia (12.15am). Uncle Harry and his eldest daughter Anouska came in 2 cars..both mercedes benz!!! Apparently, cars in UK are very cheap, its just the price of petrols which are the killers! Their home is located at Gerrards Cross near to London but a countryside area..its wonderful!!! Even their dog Snowy is a cutie!! Stayed with the Kapurs (Uncle Harry,Aunt Ash, Anouska,Karina and Snowy) for 3 nights! They spoiled us by bringing us good food every meal- Chinese,Italian,Pasta,Fish and Chips...

Besides that, we managed to do some sight-seeing and shopping in Westfield, which happens to be the biggest shopping mall in the whole of Europe! Uncle Harry drove us there. I instantly fall head over heels for M&S (Marks & Spencer) In UK, M&S is so common everywhere...its like mamaks in Malaysia. Just that M&S sells loads of things from clothes to toiletries to undergarments to food...>.< I spend over 100GBP...and thats only in M&S!! WE stopped for lunch at Spaghetti House before continuing our shoping spree. Next stop,we went Russell & Bromley which sells shoes-I brought 2 pairs!!! XD I even went Pavillions which is something like Sungai Wang at Oxbridge to get my UK number (Vodafone)

The only dissapointment was that I suffered from jet lag...I'll tend to fall asleep/get really sleepy and tired during every dinner time especially during the first few nights
Imagine having dinner at odd hours like 4-5am Malaysian time!!!

I checked into University of Hertfordshire on 25 Sept and the first impression I got was that this campus is freaking big!!!! I mean its HUGE!!! I'm located at HADHAM block/flat 001 room 005...=) Do come and visit me k!! Will upload pictures once I get hold of my USB cable (which I left back in Malaysia)

Will sign off now. Add more later k!!

A summary on the past months.

Wow!! My last post was published in May and now its Sept...where did the 4 months flew to??!! Lets see whether I can recall what happened in the past months and I'll scribble the important ones below... * few hours later*

June- Nothing much occured except that I received my assignment marks!!! I passed all *phew* now just waiting for the real deal (exams!) Besides that, I chose the subjects which I would be doing in UK! EU,Family Law(dissertation),Company Law and Intellectual Property.=)

July- Started to panic and worry that exams would be to tough too handle... so many things to do so lil time...>.<" Exams took place starting on 30th July 2010 (Evi)

Aug- The remaining 3 papers were in Aug 2nd(Trust) 4th(Tort) and 6th(Land)! Imagine 4.5 hours to complete 4 questions during that period.. and I was only given 45 mins extra compared to the 1.5 hours I get during the first year and A-Levels! *Sigh!*

-It was indeed breathtaking after the exams!! I went karaoke twice with friends, celebrated friends birthdays, went on trips (Taiping), celebrated my 21st birthday (very much in advance)cum bon voyage(will post more on it later!) AND most importantly, got my results!!! Well,in summary I met University of Hertfordshire's requirement..so I'm satisfied (the Uni only take into account our 3rd year results into the cert!)

Sept- Managed to submit my Student Visa at Wisma MCA, Jalan Ampang...most of my other friends complained that it takes literally FOREVER to just submit the darn form, but for me it was relatively fast as I brought my secret weapon(Porshe a.k.a wheelchair!) =p

- Besides that, I also received a new laptop Sony Vaio S Series VPCS125FG for RM 3740.00
The features are great and its white in color...dunno why all my electronic gadgets are white this year...my laptop,my handphone, my watch...and coincidentally both the laptop and handphone are from SONY...lolx Oh ya and i even got a 'something like a thumbdrive' with the capacity to load up to 320 GB files!! XD All these would be brought to UK to 'accompany' me during my studies...As far as I know, my flight would be on Sept 22nd but till now no news on Visa as yet >.<
Am keeping both fingers and toes crossed...
P.S= the Sept volume is up till Sept 12 2010...

Will update more as more information flows in..Cheerio!

Day-care Surgery @ SDMC

I would like to focus and write more on my experience yesterday (25 May 2010) when I went to SDMC to get my left ear 'fixed'...which had been infected and causing me discomfort since CNY 2010(14 Feb)

6.30am- Woke up and got ready for breakfast!
7.30am-Reached McD ordered BIG breakfast set and Milo!
8.00am-Stopped eating...FASTING time!!!
***************************************************************************************
9.00am-Went home...played card games on laptop
10.15am-DD came
11.30am-Depart to SDMC Day Care Surgery unit @ Level 1
12.15pm-Entered into the "piglet shelter" where those waiting to be operated wait >.<
12.30pm-Dr. Ng(the antithesis) came and 'jabbed' my right hand!!! *ouch!*
1.00pm- A nurse came in and gave me a pain killer TABLET!!! size of a Smarties...
1.15pm- I was wheeled into another "pig shelter" which is nearer to the OT. This time, MM cannot follow...She went lunch with DD at windmill!!!
-After going to the ladies, doze off at the second "pig shelter"
- Dr. Ng came by and wheeled me into the OT with the other nurses.
2.12pm-Once in the OT, many other nurses crowded around me and started taking my blood pressure and ECG. Then, Dr. Ng inserted another jab into my "port" and at the same time an indian nurse put a 'sleepy' mask and keep on asking me to inhale. >.< I shut my eyes (coz scared pain!)
*********************************************************************************************************
3.30pm- The next thing I know, I woke up at the first "pig shelter" but was sooooo DIZZY...
4.00pm- MM was next to me when I got up. A nurse showed me the polyps that was causing my left ear discomfort...its the size of a pea but it hurts like a giant..seriously, size does NOT matter!
4.30pm- The nurse shooed us out after she heard my laughter...wakakaka!!! she gave me glucose water...yummy!
5.30pm-DD arrived and drove us home..on the way, MM bought chicken porridge for my dinner

10.00pm- Took medication(YESH, medicines...sigh!) and went to bed!

***************************************************************************************
What a day eh! The next day, went to college (tort) as usual!

Football

THe title says it all...did any of you watch the ManC v ManUtd match last sat??? OMG!!! it was magical...who in the world told me that ManUtd dont stand a chance against ManC?? Scholes proved you WRONG!! Did you see how he remarkably headbutted the ball to the goal post after 90 mins of the game during 2.59 minute of the 3 minute extra time??? Right after the ball was headed towards the goalpost, the referee whistled his time out and I jumped up and down with joy!!!

So,who was that idiot who made that comment again? *snikers*

*I rest my case*

Its April...

Yo...its another month ahead but I've yet to update my blog with a good post...aih...I really dunno what to write here...some are too personal(not gonna write here in case somebody sees it!) while others are irrelevant...hmm...

Okok...my trust lecturer Mr. Arnold Andrews(which was also my ex-crime lecturer) left BAC...reason being he wants to concentrate more on his firm,so he left us Jan 2009 intakes high and dry, well literally as most of us were planning to score based on his ahem spoon-feeding techniques...>.< I know I know...its wrong...we should score and enter Uni based on our own hard work and yada yada yada but argh...you-get-what-i-mean!!! =p

Well, Mr. Arnold just want you to know that its been my pleasure knowing you and honored to have learned from you...and if you're around the corner we go makan ok? I promise you I wont order milk!!! wakakakaka! *Inside joke*

Anyhow, Trust is now taught by Miss Puvannes, who had taught me crime before as well. Many of you might know her but to those who dont lemme give you a brief intro...she might be strict but she's the best! I'm not shoe-polishing here, just stating the fact as it is! XD

I'm supposed to be STUDYING now...but guess what...after checking the emails I'm here crapping my head off...

In this post, I'll just narrate regarding the dream I had a few days ago that got stucked in my mind like a super-glue....

In that dream, I was in UK already (to complete my final year law degree) but dont ask me which uni as my dream was not so precise...there I was pretty much alone...the background was very dark(so I assume it was during night time!) and i started to miss home!!! HOW???!!! After that I woke up...THE END...>.<

I would be lying if I were to say that I wont be missing home, come on I've never been apart from home for 9 consecutive days before...what more 9 months!!! Am i making the right decision here to go UK? If I dont go, I wont be able to practice law in the future (not that I wanna practice, but I would rather leave that option open in the meantime) but if I were to go, would I get to adapt to the lifestyle there? Yes, my friends will be there but in long term? The weather? What about mummy...will she be lonely? I despise the feeling of leaving her alone...I'm no WORLD BEST DAUGHTER here, we do have our bitter moments with each other but hey, thats what family is all about right?

Well, dont worry I'll try and solve this prob...hopefully my next post brings good news...>.<

HowDie Partner!

Greetings to all!

As you guys might have know this is my very 1st attempt in creating a blog (after much negotiation and persuasions from other avid-blogger friends) so please bear with me if :

1) I were to write in broken english (i 'majored' in mal-lish you see!)
2) If this blog is not updated most of the time
3) If it bores you to death!

XoXo,
